Cegelec has been entrusted with the HVAC installations (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) of the Vlaams Administratief Centrum (VAC) in Leuven. Moreover, the group is in charge of the "special techniques" part (electricity, HVAC, high and low current installations) of the Nieuw Administratief Centrum (NAC) of Herent.
In both cases, Cegelec contributed to provide innovating technical solutions to the customer, ensuring energy savings, for instance by using passive girders which offer high quality air conditioning.
With a gross surface of 22 600 sq. m., the VAC of Leuven will be equipped with a geothermal heat pump system. As for the NAC of Herent, which is being built as part of a public private partnership (PPP), Cegelec will, in addition to executing the special techniques part, be responsible for the maintenance of the equipment for the next 25 years.
