History

Cegelec has been active in Belgium for almost 50 years.

Have a look at the chronology of our company's development...

1960 

Creation of the Comsip Automation Belge in Liège, specialized in industrial (petro)chemical instrumentation.

 1970 

Change of name: Comsip Automation Benelux.

 1993 

Change of name: Cegelec Comsip Belgium.

 1994 

Take over of Fos in Antwerp (industrial electricity and robotics), Troisi in Liège (industrial control) and Eman in Namur (industrial and building electricity).

 1997 

Take over of the activities of the building electrical installations department of AEG in Brussels and creation of Cegelec AEG Systems.

 1998 

Merger of Cegelec AEG Systems and Cegelec Comsip Belgium and creation  of Cegelec Belgium. 

Cegelec Belgium became Alstom Contracting.

 1999 

Integration of Alstom Systems and Services (ex Acec) in Charleroi (large projects and industrial control).

 2000 

Integration of Sunvic (industrial projects and maintenance).

 2001 

Merger by absorption of Sunvic and of Alstom Systems and Services.

Creation of the Cegelec Group, an independent entity from Alstom and birth of Cegelec in Belgium.

 2003

Acquisition of ABB Building Systems (HVAC, electricity and technical maintenance).

 2006

Acquisition of Ensysta (production equipment for food, pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries).

 2007

Acquisition of Flexelec (electrotechnical equipment).

 2008

Acquisition of Eurotole (mechanical maintenance).
